See which camps made money.
DewBeetle puts your farm's books on its satellite map. Every rand lands on a camp, a machine or the herd, so you see the profit of each camp, not just a total for the whole farm.
Starter is free for farms up to 500 ha. No card needed.
How it works
Step 1
Connect your books
Connect Xero and DewBeetle reads your invoices and bills as they come in. It never writes to Xero. On Starter, you enter costs by hand instead.
Step 2
Draw your camps
Trace your farm and its camps on the satellite map. DewBeetle measures the hectares and keeps the map through the seasons.
Step 3
See profit per camp
Every rand lands on a camp, a machine or the herd. Shared costs, like a tractor's diesel, are spread across the camps it worked. The map shows which camps made money, and the total always matches your books.
Who it is for
The farmer
Which camps paid for themselves this season, and which did not. Answered on the map, without a spreadsheet.
The accountant
The same books, placed. What the map shows reconciles to Xero, and every figure opens to the lines behind it.
Crops and livestock
Maize, sunflower, cattle: each product gets its own season and its own margin, on the same farm.
What you get
- The satellite map
- Your camps, land blocks and leases, drawn once and measured in hectares.
- Costs by rule
- Teach DewBeetle once where a supplier's invoices go; from then on it places them for you.
- Reconciled to Xero
- The map total equals the Xero total. Unplaced money is shown, never lost.
- Seasons that follow the crop
- Costs follow the crop year, not the financial year, so a season's margin is a season's margin.
- The season plan
- A budget per camp, and a forecast that updates as the season's costs come in.
- Profit and loss by product
- Each product's month-by-month picture, with the lines behind every number.
Xero is the accounting package DewBeetle connects to. Access is read-only: DewBeetle never writes to your books, and your Xero data is never used to train AI models. How your data is handled.
Plans
Starter is free. Connected, which imports your Xero books, is R799 a month or US$49 a month, excl. VAT, and two months free when you pay for the year.
